Cheryl S. Buckel PMP CEO

In 27 years of public service, Cheryl has spent time educating the public on Emergency Preparedness, and responded to several natural disasters in California and New Mexico where she helped lead teams in the recovery of those communities. A majority of her experience is in managing projects, from superfund clean-ups to constructing hospitals and other facilities in Europe in support of our troops in the war torn areas of the world. She attained certification as a Project Management Professional in 2005, through the Project Management Institute. Cheryl’s passion for project management excels in the area of initiating and planning the projects.

In 2005, she was chosen from a nationwide pool of employees as one of 32 Emerging Leaders. During this time she shadowed top level executives in the agency, and spent time as an Action Officer in support of the Hurricane Katrina recovery mission. Cheryl has held high level positions in professional associations such as the Society of Military Engineers, the New Mexico Watercolor Society, and the International Coaching Federation. She currently belongs to the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Cheryl found her passion in educating people on their individual strengths, and strengths based performance, in 2005, certified as a Strengths Performance Coach for the Corps, through Gallup University. She coaches individuals on their strengths; she coaches teams on how they can use their strengths to be more effective, and teaching Leadership Development around the country. She is now teaching her workshops at University of New Mexico Continuing Education.

Cheryl is currently building a international business that explores new ways of teaching project management, team building, and leadership development together in fun filled workshops for U.S. and international corporations and small businesses.

Cheryl Buckel is a native of New Mexico, raised in the village of Pojoaque, between Santa Fe and Espanola. She has lived in other beautiful places, including the Pacific Northwest and Europe but her heart keeps her returning to New Mexico. Cheryl is a professional watercolor artist, but finds little time in her schedule to paint, between full time public service, starting a new business, and raising two teenagers.
